Such intriguing book choices, Marg, plus a delectable watermelon cake. Yum! I’m reading the first Harry Potter book along with a Ukrainian friend to help take her mind off her endangered family in Kyiv. Poor encircled Ukraine could use a little magic right about now.

Lovely read as usual Marg, thank you. Last night I finished The Language of Food... it took me a little longer than expected as I put in on hold for a week or so. Towards the end it gets a bit sad and depressing, to be honest. I guess that's why I felt like taking a break. A beautiful book nonetheless.

That’s good to know. I like to have a nice stack of books next to my bed so I can mix things up depending on my mood. I sometimes read children’s books when things get really grim.

Hi Marg, I’ve just finished a book called Migrations by charlotte mcconaghy who is from Sydney. This is a fierce read, with a compelling main character Franny who is intent on following the few remaining migrating arctic terns. Her past drives her to risk after risk. The story moves from Ireland to Greenland, Australia and southern America. This novel holds a very different story to most. Loved it. Hope you’re well, Deb tipper

That sounds great. I read another one of her books (Once there were wolves) and liked it a lot so I’ll definitely put this one on my list. I’m doing well, hope you are too.
