It took some effort to get this book. There were 98 ahead of me on ebook reservations but one paper copy at the library. But I couldn’t reserve it because I’d already reserved the ebook. So I cancelled the reservation but it still wouldn’t let me . However, I finally got it and have started. So far so good.
I might have trouble getting into a book with this premise, even though I did enjoy The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. The butterscotch pudding cake sounds delicious--I like the idea that a single recipe turns into both. I loved the story you wrote about your name and feeling overlooked because your mother was too preoccupied to spell your middle name correctly or get the date on your christening cup right. Coincidentally I wrote about my name too this week. Interesting the power our names hold.
I read your post about names, and it was fantastic. I've been meaning to comment but was trying to think of something interesting to say. I'm not sure whether you would like Tomorrow, but I'm glad I read it as everyone was raving about it. I can tick it off the list now!
Oh boy…I tried reading this book but simply could not finish. Halfway through I gave up because the story seemed to be going nowhere and I got bored with the plot and didn’t understand why everyone’s raving about it.
That’s really interesting because I read an interview with the author and she said she was surprised it was such a hit because it was a bit niche. It was not a 5 star read for me as it went off track in places, but there were parts I really enjoyed as I was not familiar with how video games are designed.

I admire your perseverance! I knew it was popular but didn’t realise it was in such high demand. Can’t wait to hear what you thought of it.
I adored Tomorrow x3. It crushed me in the best way. But this is why there are so many books!
Absolutely!

Thanks, Marg! That’s really very kind! No worries about commenting unless you want to. It’s enough to know you’re one of my readers.🤗
Ditto!
