Once again you have introduced me to another book unfamiliar to me. I think your rendition of the strawberry looks just as stylish as a chocolate-covered one.
Thanks Sally. I love it when people discover books they might have missed. I’m thinking of doing a ‘best books’ roundup of lesser known titles this year.
I loved this book and wasn't confused by the Lucrezias. I remember when John Green's The Fault in our Stars did the rounds and I had to buy another 3 or 4 copies for the school. I wish OUR library would buy some more Remarkably Bright Creatures for the library because I have been waiting for ages. Might just have to buy a copy like Ruth.

Such a funny mistake, Marg! Two historic Lucrezias—who knew? Both books you recommend sound of interest, and I’m looking forward to the book club next month, assuming I can get hold of the novel. So far it isn’t available on Libby. I may just have to buy it! Wishing you and your family a very merry, not too unbearably hot Christmas and New Year!
It’s a good book to buy because you can lend it to friends. It’s that kind of book. Also, do you belong to more than one library? That would increase the chances of the book being available. I believe all US residents can join NYPL and access their digital collection.
Best wishes to you and yours for the holiday season.
Well, you convinced me, Marg! I think I'll buy this one and give it away. Really a book is the best gift anyway. Also another good idea to join the NYPL. I never have, just sticking with my local libraries, which have pretty extensive collections. Thanks so much for your good wishes for the holidays. It's been pretty hot in L.A. too!
A great idea although most are lesser known to me already. You have broadened my reading horizon.

You are probably smarter than me :)
An abundance of Katherines sounds like a great palate cleanser kinda book. Thank you!
I especially liked his relationship with his friend Hassan. It was a really lovely read.
