I'm currently reading Anne Michael's 'Held' - loving the effect of her being a poet on her novel writing. A special book for me has been 'My tongue is my own: a life of Gwen Harwood" by Ann-Marie Priest. Her amazing life covered most of the 20th century, and it's like she's talking to you through her long letters to her many friends.
Congrats, Book Chat! I’m super looking forward to reading How to Build a Boat. If I can manage to stay up late enough for the meeting, I will be there! (I’m in Canada and usually in pjs by 9pm ;) )
(PS All My Mothers was one of my book club's favourite reads, and I've recently read another book of hers called The Other Half of Augusta Hope - loved it.)
