Always an enjoyable, enlightening read, Marg! I haven’t read the Margaret Craven book, but, as you know, I value your recommendations and will check it out. I never tire of classics like Pride and Prejudice, which I’ve read countless times, but also books I loved as a child and still do, like Alice in Wonderland.
I’m still awaiting the arrival of your August book club pick, which I had to order as it wasn’t available on Libby!
You may not find the Margaret Craven book in your library and definitely not on Libby as it’s so old (1967), but someone might have a copy in their personal library. I forgot to mention there is also an old black and white film on YouTube starring Tom Courtney as the young priest.
I was trawling through my borrowed books list on the library app last week (looking for a book I loved but had forgotten the title) and I noticed that quite a few titles had been deleted. It made me wonder what books they were and what they do with them. I keep my own list but it only goes back to 2018.
Shockingly, given your comment, I just found an audio version of I Heard the Owl Call My Name on Libby! Can’t believe it! That would be upsetting to find out so many favorite titles have been deleted—like old friends gone missing.
Will do! Thanks again for the recommendation. I also got hold of a copy of Elly Griffiths’ first Ruth Galloway mystery, which I just started reading and already love! You’re a wizard when it comes to sussing out the right books, Marg! I still think there may be a business possibility there.🤗

That lamb stew looks delicious!

Oh that’s fantastic. Do let me know what you think if you listen to it.

That would be my ideal job. I was wondering if a “pay what you can” model would work? I don’t want to exclude people.
My fav book is Wuthering Heights. I've read it 7 times so far 😅
Wow! That’s a big commitment.
That curry looks good! Also, I found you on Instagram the other day and followed you 😊
Thanks Hoang! I will follow you back!
