So lovely to hear from you. You are very welcome to join our international book club. I am pushing the meeting date to December as I have had trouble getting the book (lots of holds at the library) so I hope that suits. Where in the world do you live? I’m asking so I can try to accommodate as many time zones as possible.

I love your writing and your book recommendations. Congrats on keeping your Substack going strong for 90 issues - cheers to the next 90!

I'm also a big fan of searching your own recipe archives. I'm regularly in mine because I've forgotten how to make something I've made a million times before!

Big congratulations. I loved All the birds singing and it had certain ghostly aspects to it as well so perhaps it's her thing. Having already read the BC pick, I'm ahead of the game. And glad to be of use with recipes. We are having a defrosted leftover with soup for dinner.

Thanks for the recipe! I’m going to make them tomorrow. Thanks also for your support and interest in Book Chat. It’s such a fun project and although it hasn’t quite taken over my life, I do think about it a lot so it’s very entertaining.

Congrats on 90 issues, Marg! I for one am glad you’ve stuck with it and happy for both book and cooking suggestions—always informative and/or delicious. I don’t believe in ghosts—except sometimes if I happen to be in a creepy old house by myself and something creaks…

The scones do look yummy!

Also happy for the November book club pick, The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store. Thanks for the heads-up on future selections too!
